OUAGADOUGOU — Carlos Fuller, Belize’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has urged all states under colonial rule to actively pursue their independence, drawing parallels to Azerbaijan’s successful restoration of its territorial integrity.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fuller spoke to journalists about the importance of self-determination and territorial integrity, noting that Belize’s journey to independence, achieved in 1981, was a result of persistent efforts to gain international recognition. He highlighted the need for colonized states to mobilize and communicate their goals to the global community, stressing that independence should be the ultimate objective for all such nations.
