United States President Joe Biden is set to allocate $1 billion in food security assistance to the Middle East and North Africa region, a US official told reporters in Jeddah, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Biden will also share that the Gulf alliance will be pledging $3 billion during the next two years to global infrastructure and investment projects.

The official announcement is expected later in the day. Earlier, Biden shared that his administration “accomplished some significant business” during his visit to the Middle East.
