New york: Binali Yildirim, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, addressed the event on ‘Multilateralism on a Crossroads: Challenges and Pathways to Peace’ during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. He highlighted the potential for Armenia-Azerbaijan relations to usher in a new era of stability and cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Yildirim pointed out that next year NATO will convene in Ankara to discuss the Alliance’s future plans. He noted that this exemplifies how regional players can engage in global discussions. Yildirim mentioned projects like the Middle Corridor and the Zangezur Corridor, which facilitate connections between Asia and Europe through vital pipelines such as BTC, TANAP, and TAP.

Yildirim emphasized that improved relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan could open a chapter of stability and cooperation, serving both national interests and facilitating regional integration and economic development.
