Birbank Launches Tree Planting Initiative for Newborns

Baku:Birbank has introduced a new initiative that involves planting trees in honor of newborns. As part of the 'Adi il? böysn' ('Grow with your name') project, parents who receive a birth allowance from the bank are given a certificate confirming that a tree has been planted to commemorate their child's birth.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mahammad Ibrahimov, Leader of the Operations Office at Kapital Bank, expressed that the project is significant as it marks the arrival of each newborn with a tree planting, creating a lasting green legacy. The initiative aims for children to see the tree planted in their honor as a meaningful event and a valuable contribution to society.

The project, which began in September, sends certificates to Birbank customers weekly via SMS, allowing parents to verify their certificates' authenticity through the yasilgelecek.az website. This initiative not only commemorates the birth of a child but also supports greening efforts and encourages environmental care.

The project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Greening and Landscape Structure OJSC, and Kapital Bank. Birbank, a trademark of Kapital Bank, offers digital innovations and banking products through its mobile application and extensive branch network in Azerbaijan.
