BISHKEK – The Leninsky District Court of Bishkek has issued a house arrest order for a woman accused of abandoning her newborn child. This decision follows an incident in the Archa-Beshik housing estate, as reported by the district police department’s press service to the 24.kg news agency.

According to 24.kg News Agency, the young mother left her child near a private house’s fence in Archa-Beshik on the night of November 19. The newborn was discovered in a box wrapped in a plastic bag. Following an initial investigation, police detained the 20-year-old mother, who is now under house arrest pending further legal proceedings.
