Bishkek: Kyrgyz Students Offered Expanded Access to Hungarian University Education

A significant development has been announced for Kyrgyzstani students aspiring to study in Hungary. The Embassy of Hungary informed the 24.kg news agency about the expansion of the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program, which provides opportunities for higher education in Hungary.

According to 24.kg News Agency, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, has been active in Kyrgyzstan since 2017. Initially offering 25 quotas, it now provides 200, reflecting a growing educational partnership between the two countries. Participating in this program are 28 Hungarian higher educational institutions, offering over 1,200 study programs in English and Hungarian.

Prospective students must complete an online application process by January 15, 2024, available on the official Stipendium Hungaricum website. Applicants are also required to submit a concurrent application through the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. The program's organizers expressed hopes for increased enrollment of Kyrgyz students in Hungarian universities, furthering educational collaboration between the two nations.
