Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Fall as Cryptocurrency Market Sees Downturn


Baku: On February 17, Bitcoin experienced a depreciation on cryptocurrency exchanges, as reported by APA-Economics. The prominent cryptocurrency was traded at $96,153 on the “CoinMarketCap” platform at 09:14 Baku time, reflecting a 1.38% decrease.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decline was not limited to Bitcoin. Ethereum also saw its value decrease by 1.39%, bringing its price to $2,660. Within the top five cryptocurrencies, XRP’s value dropped by 3.57%, while Tether experienced a minimal decrease of 0.01%. In contrast, BNB was the only one among the top five to see an increase, rising by 1.96%.



Bitcoin had previously reached its highest recorded price on December 16 of last year, surpassing $108,000. This latest downturn highlights the ongoing volatility within the cryptocurrency market.
