Istanbul: The body of an Azerbaijani citizen, who had been missing since boarding a passenger ferry on the Kadik¶y-Besiktas route in Istanbul, has been discovered near the Haydarpasa coast. The deceased, identified as 44-year-old Makhfura Huseynova, was last seen boarding the ferry in Kadik¶y on the evening of May 2.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, there was no surveillance footage confirming that Huseynova disembarked at the intended Besiktas stop. Her personal belongings, including her bag, were found left behind on the ferry, prompting concern for her safety.
In response to her disappearance, relevant authorities initiated a search operation in the surrounding sea areas. The search efforts culminated in the discovery of Huseynova's body near the Haydarpasa coastline. Her remains have been sent for a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
