With the mediation of the Russian side, hostilities on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border were stopped at 18:30 on Tuesday. The Armenian side reported this late evening on November 16 th.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, in turn, reported that the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu called to Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and discussed with him the possibility of ending hostilities.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar also phoned Hasanov, expressing his full support for Azerbaijan.

The Armenian side also reported the loss of two posts, detaining of 12 soldiers and the death of one soldier.

Azerbaijan previously reported on two military personnel earlier.

According to the Armenian side, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have advanced in a number of directions. Attempts to knock them out of their occupied positions failed.
