Baku: Azerbaijan has achieved phenomenal results in mine clearance, as stated by Enis Horozovic, Head of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Centre, during a conversation with journalists, APA reports. Horozovic highlighted the strong relationship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the shared experiences of dealing with the aftermath of war.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Horozovic noted the severe mine contamination Bosnia and Herzegovina faced following the war from 1992 to 1995, with approximately 80% of the affected areas now cleared. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts in Azerbaijan, praising the event focused on mine clearance and the dedication shown by Azerbaijani authorities. Horozovic also stressed the readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina's non-governmental organizations and the Mine Action Management Centre to share their expertise with other mine-affected countries.

Horozovic further commended Azerbaijan's impressive results in mine clearance. He revealed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has engaged with Azerbaijan multiple times, with Azerbaijani colleagues visiting to learn from their demining strategies. A film crew from Azerbaijan even documented Bosnia and Herzegovina's success in clearing mines. Horozovic expressed a willingness to both share Bosnia and Herzegovina's experiences and learn from Azerbaijan's accomplishments in this critical field.
