Baku: The Brazilian ambassador to Iran has expressed gratitude towards the Azerbaijani government for their significant assistance during the ongoing crisis in Iran. Ambassador Andre Veras Guimaraes, in an interview with the Azerbaijani media, highlighted the support provided by Azerbaijan in facilitating the evacuation process and aiding in visa acquisitions for evacuees entering Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Guimaraes shared his personal experiences and the dire situation unfolding in Iran. He revealed that he had relocated his wife and child to Azerbaijan, while he plans to return to Iran soon. The ambassador detailed the severity of the situation, mentioning the frequent and intense bombings, particularly in Tehran, where government facilities, the army, and the Revolutionary Guards have been targeted. The ambassador noted the alarming frequency of the attacks, stating that approximately 2,000 have occurred across the country, with many explosions visible from his residence.
