BRICS Grants Partner Status to Trkiye and 12 Other Nations


Kazan: Trkiye, along with 12 other countries, has been granted partner country status in the BRICS organization. This decision was reached during the organization’s summit held in Kazan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the countries that have also received partner status are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Bolivia, Nigeria, Uganda, Indonesia, Algeria, Niger, Thailand, and Vietnam. The inclusion of these nations marks a significant development in the organization’s expansion efforts, as it seeks to enhance cooperation and engagement with a broader range of countries.

The decision to include these additional countries as partners reflects BRICS’ strategy to strengthen its global influence and foster economic collaboration across different regions. The newly granted partner status is expected to pave the way for increased participation and contribution from the listed countries in the organization’s initiatives and programs.
