BRICS Summit Concludes with Adoption of Kazan Declaration


KAZAN: The XVI BRICS summit, held in Kazan, concluded with the adoption of the Kazan declaration, as announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The declaration, which will be distributed as a common joint document, reflects the collective assessments of the global situation and summarizes the achievements under Russia’s presidency in BRICS.

According to Trend News Agency, the Kazan declaration outlines long-term directions for cooperation among the member states of BRICS, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The summit, which began on October 22, was divided into two segments. The initial segment focused on the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,” emphasizing the motto of Russia’s BRICS presidency for 2024.

The second segment of the summit, titled “BRICS Plus/Outreach,” centered on the theme “BRICS and the Global South – Together Building a Better World.” This part of the summit aimed at fostering partnerships and cooperation between BR
