SHUSHA — At a press conference on Azerbaijan’s snap elections, Qurban Hussain, a British MP and member of the UK House of Lords, shared his observations from his first electoral monitoring experience outside the United Kingdom.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hussain, who visited polling stations in Shusha and Fuzuli, noted the similarities between the electoral systems of Azerbaijan and the UK, highlighting the freedom and secrecy with which voters participated. He expressed particular pleasure at seeing Azerbaijanis from Karabakh, displaced for over 30 years, voting in their homeland again, underscoring the significance of this electoral participation for the community.
