Baku:Professor Nicolae Istudor, Rector of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), Romania, along with Professor Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector for International Relations, made a visit to the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). They were welcomed by Professor Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of AzTU, and other university staff members.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Romanian delegation was informed about AzTU's ongoing initiatives in education, scientific research, and internationalisation. The discussions between the two universities focused on evaluating the outcomes of their existing cooperation and exploring potential areas for further development.

The meeting included discussions on the possibility of developing joint research projects, expanding collaboration in research areas of mutual interest, and enhancing student and academic staff exchanges. Additionally, both parties considered the prospects of organising joint scientific events on current and relevant topics.

During their visit, the Romanian representatives toured AzTU's laboratories to acquaint themselves with the university's teaching and research infrastructure.
