Butun Kyrgyzstan faction and MP Seyidbek Atambaev nominated Bakyt Rysbekov for the post of Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan.

The Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial, Legal Issues and Regulations of the Parliament considers his candidacy.

Bakyt Rysbekov has been the head of the National Center for Prevention of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment since August 2020.

The day before, the committee approved the candidacies of Dzhamilya Dzhamanbaeva and Kulira Kubatova.
