Caspian Sea Level Decline Highlighted During Bayramov-Lavrov Talks

Moscow: The full range of issues related to the Caspian Sea was discussed, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister said that special attention was paid to the problem of the declining level of the Caspian Sea. He noted that this issue could have serious environmental as well as socio-economic consequences. The discussions emphasized that addressing this problem requires the consolidation of efforts by all Caspian littoral states, the conduct of joint scientific research, and the implementation of comprehensive practical measures.
