Central Bank of Azerbaijan Anticipated to Increase Interest Rates by Year-End

Baku: The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is set to maintain its interest rate at 6.75% through the first quarter of 2026.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Netherlands' largest financial corporation, ING Group, released an updated forecast indicating potential adjustments in the coming year.

ING Group suggests that the CBA might increase the interest rate to 7% in the second quarter, with further increments to 7.25% in the third quarter, and 7.75% in the final quarter of the year. This comes after a recent reduction by the CBA, when the interest rate was lowered by 0.25 percentage points to 6.75% on December 10 of the previous year. The CBA's next announcement regarding interest rates is scheduled for February 4.
