Baku: An external assessment has been conducted at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) by an independent evaluation group from the Audit Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Trkiye. The evaluation aimed at verifying the alignment of the Bank's internal audit operations with international standards for the professional practice of internal auditing and was executed in accordance with a methodology consistent with international internal auditing standards.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the assessment concluded that the Central Bank's internal audit operations fully conform to the requirements of the international standards for the professional practice of internal auditing. As a final result, based on the three-point rating scale used for the evaluation, the internal audit function achieved the highest possible assessment level of 'Generally Conforms' (GC).
