Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office and G20 Interfaith Dialogue Forum President Discuss Global Dialogue and Reforms

Baku: Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), held an online meeting with Cole Durham, President of the G20 Interfaith Dialogue Forum. The sides hailed the level of cooperation based on mutual trust and shared goals.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, CMO Chairman Pashazade praised the Association’s work and its consistent participation in five forums held across different regions, noting that he spared no effort to contribute to the platform’s activities. Highlighting his participation in the G20 Interfaith forums as a testament to his high regard for the platform, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade stressed that in the modern era, where threats to human life and humanity’s existence are increasing, it is essential to enhance the joint efforts of political, social, and religious leaders and strengthen global dialogue.

Cole Durham thanked the CMO Chairman for his active participation in the G20 Interfaith forums. He also recalled requesting Pashazade’s recommendations based on his experience in structural reforms, noting that both sides had agreed to exchange expertise. Durham added that the recommendations would be taken into account during the reform process.

The sides also discussed the establishment of a permanent interreligious council within the Interfaith Forum.
