Baku: Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade hosted an Iftar ceremony on March 4 at his residence to mark the holy month of Ramadan. The event was attended by notable figures including Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and heads of various religious confessions.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a collective Ramadan prayer. Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade addressed the gathering, emphasizing the spiritual importance of Ramadan and the strong state-religion relations in Azerbaijan. He highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to Islamic values and its active role in promoting Islamic solidarity and combating Islamophobia globally.
Speakers from different religious confessions and other guests commended Azerbaijan's efforts in fostering interfaith and intercultural dialogue. They noted the country's unique model of peaceful coexistence as exemplary on the global stage. The ceremony concluded with an Iftar meal for all participants.
