Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office Participates in Interfaith Meeting in Mauritius

Mauritius: Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office and Co-Chair of the World Council of Religions for Peace, is participating in the Religions for Peace 2026 International Council Meeting in Mauritius. The event, themed 'Forging Pathways for Shared Sacred Flourishing', is taking place from June 23 to 25.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, prior to the opening ceremony on June 23, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade engaged in discussions with several high-level officials, including Mauritian President Dharambeer Gokhool. During these meetings, the Azerbaijani religious leader conveyed greetings from President Ilham Aliyev to President Gokhool, who reciprocated by asking him to pass on his regards to the Azerbaijani President.

As part of the ongoing event, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade is set to deliver an address during the thematic dialogue on 'Artificial Intelligence: Human Rights, Human Dignity, and AI- Multifaith Perspectives'.
