Anar Asadli, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Rise Party, was arrested, APA reports.

Anar Asadli was ordered jailed for three months at the Narimanov District Court during the hearing.

Anar Asadli was accused of fraud. A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code.

Note that Anar Asadli was summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Main Organized Crime Department a while ago based on claims of his acquaintances Ogtay Gasimov and Ilham Huseynov.

The complainants accuse Anar Asadli of failing to repay their debts.

In addition, Anar Asadli has been barred from leaving the country in connection with this case.
