Baku: Digital economy currently accounts for 17.3% of global GDP, Nasir Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts, revealed during the session titled 'Digital Public Audit for Sustainable Regional Integration,' organized within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank Annual Meetings in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, global technology spending is projected to reach $5.2 trillion by 2025. This figure is equivalent to approximately 4.4% of global GDP and surpasses the previous forecast of $4.9 trillion.

The deputy chairman pointed out that advancements in artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and cloud technologies have facilitated public institutions in operating in a more agile and results-oriented manner.
