Baku: To mark the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) taking place in Baku, a City Activity programme was organised for guests attending WUF13 and residents of the capital. Running from 20 to 22 May, the programme brings a series of public events and experiences to three locations across the city: the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve, the area surrounding the Clock Tower at Seaside National Park, and the vicinity of Deniz Mall.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, visitors can explore a variety of products at the City Activity kiosks, with activities at Seaside National Park continuing until 21:00. On 20 May, the Icherisheher Reserve hosted a live music programme with performances by Arastun Guliyev and Gaga Band.
On 21 May, approximately 20 dance performances are scheduled in Icherisheher, while Baku Boulevard will feature performances by Arif Nematov and Ayna Band from 19:00 to 21:00. The 22 May event in Icherisheher includes performances by Joseph Abbas, Naz Girls, and Telman Budagov.
A dedicated football pitch near Deniz Mall, supported by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), highlights sport's role in urban planning under the WUF13 theme 'Cities as playing fields.' The pitch operates from 15:00 to 19:00, offering sports activities in an open urban setting.
WUF13, held in Baku from 17 to 22 May, focuses on the theme 'Housing the world: Safe and resilient cities and communities.'
