Baku: Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Her Excellency Madam Rosario Murillo, Co-Presidents of the Republic of Nicaragua, have sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter expressed sincere congratulations from the people and government of Nicaragua to the Azerbaijani government and its people. The Nicaraguan leaders acknowledged the historical significance of May 28, Independence Day, and highlighted the dignity and patriotic spirit of the Azerbaijani people. They reaffirmed their respect for Azerbaijan's sovereignty, national identity, and aspirations for development.

The letter also emphasized Nicaragua's intent to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation with Azerbaijan. The Nicaraguan leaders conveyed their best wishes for peace and prosperity to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan.
