Tbilisi: Relations with Azerbaijan, a friend and strategic partner for Georgia, are of great importance, said Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Georgian Parliament, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the strategically important Middle Corridor serves the interests of both the Georgian people and Azerbaijan. Archil Gorduladze emphasized that the implementation of the Middle Corridor project also aligns with the interests of the European Union.
‘The Middle Corridor allows cargo destined for the European Union to pass through Georgia. That is why it is important to elevate our strategic partnership with Azerbaijan to the highest level, where the interests of both sides will be taken into account and the implementation of strategic projects will be facilitated. This is important for everyone, especially against the backdrop of developments in the region. The necessity and importance of the Middle Corridor, which will connect East and West, has increased tenfold,’ the committee chairman added.
