Baku: “Corruption knows no borders, this should further strengthen our commitment to the principles of justice,” stated Nasser Abaalkhalil, Chair of the Steering Committee of the GlobE Network, during the opening of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the United Nations Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities, known as the GlobE Network. The event, hosted in Azerbaijan, focused on reinforcing international cooperation to combat corruption effectively.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abaalkhalil emphasized the necessity of strong collaboration within the organization, asserting that the steps taken by the network have already produced significant results. He urged members to expedite their efforts, form comprehensive connections, and continue their activities with vigor. Abaalkhalil also highlighted the importance of leveraging innovation and technology in strengthening anti-corruption endeavors, particularly in the area of asset recovery. He acknowledged the evolving nature of corruption, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and rapid financial transactions, and stressed that technology should be a necessity in combating these challenges.

Abaalkhalil expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the event, underlining the importance of justice prevailing globally. He called for the sharing of experiences among members and the formation of operations capable of delivering tangible outcomes in the fight against corruption.
