Tashkent: Within the framework of the 2025 bilateral military cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a computer-assisted joint command-staff exercise, titled Maharat-2025 (Mastery), is being conducted in Tashkent. The Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense informed APA about this collaborative exercise.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the exercise focuses on the “Search, localization, and neutralization of illegal armed detachments” and is being held at the Modeling and Simulation Research Educational Center of the Armed Forces. The exercise is structured into two stages, where the first stage involves participants engaging in operation planning. The second stage involves executing relevant activities using advanced modeling and simulation software.

The primary objective of the Maharat-2025 exercise is to expand bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, improve interoperability among servicemen, and facilitate the exchange of acquired experiences.
