London: German director Edward Berger’s “Conclave” has won the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) in the Best Film category, according to the broadcast of the 78th BAFTA ceremony, APA reports citing TASS. The film achieved significant success by securing four of the twelve awards it was nominated for. These awards include Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Adapted Screenplay, and Editing.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist” also emerged as a major winner, bagging four accolades. The film received awards in the categories of Best Director, Actor for Adrien Brody, Cinematography, and Original Score. Meanwhile, Jacques Audiard’s “Emilia Perez” was honored as the Best Film Not in the English Language.
