A constituent congress of the Party “For Democracy and Prosperity” was held in online regime . It is constituted on the basis of the same-name movement.

Note that 82 out of 88 delegates took part in the forum. Also, the participants adopted a charter and a program, elected the chairman, members of the control and audit commission, and formed the Supreme Majlis.

Professor Gubad Ibadoglu, a researcher at the London School of Economic and Political Sciences, was elected the Chairman of the Party.

The formation of other governing bodies will be held in the nearest future at the session of the Supreme Majlis of the Party.

The Movement for Democracy and Prosperity was set up on February 21, 2015 led by Ibadoglu. The organization is in opposition to the Azerbaijani authorities.
