Baku: The construction of the Aghband-Kalala highway bridge has been completed, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Co-Chair of the Commission from the Azerbaijani side, during the 17th meeting of the State Commission on Cooperation in Economic, Trade and Humanitarian fields between Azerbaijan and Iran.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Shahin Mustafayev emphasized that the bridge is expected to be fully operational once the border and customs infrastructure is finalized. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the strategic importance of the project, noting that it would connect the East Zangezur economic region with Nakhchivan via the shortest and most efficient route.
Furthermore, Shahin Mustafayev stated that the bridge will form a crucial component of a convenient highway route linking the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea, thus enhancing regional connectivity and economic cooperation.
