Construction Progresses on Horadiz-Aghband Railway to Zangezur Corridor

Baku: The construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway line, a strategic project linking to the Zangezur corridor, has reached 68% completion. The Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has reported significant progress, with the design phase now 85% complete.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the project involves the construction of 8 stations, 22 bridges, 2 large tunnels, and over 550 engineering structures. This ambitious initiative is part of the Great Return, promising substantial regional impact.

The railway line is expected to enhance the economic development of Karabakh and East Zangezur, alleviate the transport blockade of Nakhchivan, and serve as a crucial “iron bridge” connecting Europe and Asia.
