The Construction Project Management Laboratory was opened at the Construction Faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC). The opening ceremony was attended by the rector of the University, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akif Gasimov, Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Association for Project Management Farid Kazimov, heads of departments and deans of the university.

Sahib Farzaliyev, the head of the department of technology, organization and management of construction production of the faculty and the initiator of the laboratory, noted that with the establishment of the laboratory it will be possible to carry out operational management of construction production. Teaching construction students such issues as the study of the construction process through a virtual simulation program, the organization of efficient management of limited construction resources is one of the most pressing issues.

The head of the department of “Amal Group” LLC, the teacher of AzAU Ahmad Ahmadov gave detailed information about the activity of the laboratory. It was noted that the main purpose of the laboratory is to study a complex and systematic process in the construction industry, to simplify the interaction between them, to prevent the loss of time and so on. to achieve the acquisition of modern computer models and their application in education. He spoke about the special importance of the PRIMAVERA program in the field of construction planning, organization and management, emphasizing that it is the most relevant program in the field of construction in the world.

Speaking about the importance of the laboratory, the rector of the University said that with the introduction of modern technologies in the management of construction production, students will gain not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical knowledge.
