“Azerbaijan has been in close unity and solidarity with Trkiye since the early moments of this treacherous coup attempt. Today, we have a strong cooperation with Azerbaijan not only against the FETO terrorist organization but also against other terrorist groups,” Trkiye’s Consul General to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Asip Kaya told journalists today at an event on the 8th anniversary of July 15 – Democracy and National Unity Day, APA’s Nakhchivan bureau reports.

He recalled that on July 15, 2016, the FETO terrorist organization attempted a coup against the state of Trkiye.

Turkish Consul General noted that FETO poses a threat not only to Trkiye but also to other countries where it exists; it is a highly dangerous terrorist and espionage network.

Asip Kaya once again thanked the Azerbaijani people, stating that Trkiye and Azerbaijan have always stood by each other in difficult times.
