Baku: Today, the COP29 NGO Coalition, which brings together more than 500 NGOs from nearly 100 countries, held a hybrid meeting on the topic of “The impact of climate change on urbanization processes,” APA reports. The Coalition was established in 2024 at the initiative of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Chair of Board of Forum Ramil Iskanderli informed the members of the Coalition that, in accordance with the initiative put forward during COP29, the founding conference of the Global South NGO Platform will be held in Azerbaijan in April 2025. The members of the COP29 NGO Coalition expressed their desire to continue their activities within the Global South NGO Platform, further deepen and expand cooperation.
