COP30 President Highlights Significance of Baku Processes for Brazil’s Upcoming Presidency

Baku: Today's event in Baku is an important moment for ensuring that COP29 and COP30 work hand in hand to move toward real results, COP30 President Andre Correa do Lago said in a video message sent to an international event dedicated to World Environment Day (WED), hosted by Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Andre Correa do Lago emphasized the importance of the ongoing processes in Baku for the success of Brazil's presidency at COP30. He highlighted that COP30 represents a crucial step in moving towards the implementation phase of their goals. The outcomes of the discussions and activities in Baku are expected to significantly impact Brazil's preparations for the next stage of the conference, which will be held in Antalya in November.

He expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts and discussions aiming at addressing the pressing environmental challenges. Andre Correa do Lago conveyed his hopes for future meetings to continue the collective efforts in tackling environmental issues, underlining the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving meaningful progress.
