Baku: The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee of "AzerGold" CJSC recently convened a meeting with residents from Chovdar and Gushchu villages, alongside other settlements within the Dashkasan district. The gathering was held at the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (CIRPA).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including Ilgar Jalilov, a Member of the Executive Board and Deputy Chairman of "AzerGold" CJSC, as well as a member of the CSR Committee, and Vugar Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Dashkasan District Executive Authority, alongside other committee members. The session aimed to provide insights into ongoing efforts to bolster socio-economic development in areas surrounding the mines operated by the Joint-Stock Company, with a focus on extraction sites. Initiatives discussed included environmental protection and enhancing the well-being of local communities.
During the first half of 2026, a total of 15 social projects and events were executed in the district, aligning with state policy. These initiatives addressed various areas such as social welfare enhancement, landscaping, construction, leisure activities for minors, education promotion, cultural enlightenment, sports development, and environmental protection.
Plans for the remainder of the year include the installation of a solar-powered street lighting system in Gushchu village, a large-scale mobile medical examination campaign, the establishment of an educational center for Dashkasan schoolchildren, and several other infrastructure projects. These efforts are part of the collaborative framework between "AzerGold" CJSC and the Dashkasan District Executive Authority.
The meeting concluded with an open forum where residents' appeals and proposals were discussed. Issues raised were documented for further examination and potential resolution within existing authorities and legislative frameworks. The CSR Committee of "AzerGold" CJSC remains committed to organizing such meetings regularly to identify community needs, strengthen public dialogue, and enhance mutual cooperation.
