Customs seized more than 133 kg of drugs at the border with Iran

A Mercedes truck driven by a Turkish citizen with 26 bags of pumice stone was detained at the customs point in Shakhtakhty, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Note that more than 68 kg of opium was mixed into this cargo with a total weight of nearly two tons.

This truck was followed by another truck that entered the customs point moving through transit to Turkey with the same cargo. And again, more than 65 kg of opium was mixed into 26 bags of pumice stone.

Proceeding from these facts, the Customs Committee has initiated a criminal case under Article 206.2 of the Criminal Code, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan said in a statement. -02D-
