Baku: "Cybersecurity is no longer merely a technical profession; it is a strategic mission serving to protect the foundations of modern society," said Moti Yeger, General Director for Israel's Technion Continuing Education School, during the 7th graduation ceremony of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Yeger highlighted the history of the Technion Continuing Education School, which spans over a century. He emphasized that the institution believes in the power of technology to enhance lives, contribute to societal development, and build a safer future.
Yeger further explained that the responsibility of cybersecurity has expanded significantly. He stressed that critical infrastructure, strategic assets, and many daily services rely on secure digital systems. With cyber threats escalating alongside rapid technological advancement, he described cybersecurity as a crucial area for ensuring societal resilience today.
Additionally, Yeger noted that earlier this year, Technion achieved the distinction of being ranked first in Europe for artificial intelligence and was recognized among the world's leading higher education institutions in computer science by the international CS Rankings index.
