Copenhagen: We have progressed in discussing the use of frozen Russian assets, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit in Copenhagen, Trend reports.

According to Trend News Agency, Frederiksen remarked that discussions concerning the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine have advanced, though a final decision remains pending. She noted that while a decision could not be made during an informal Council meeting, such as the one held prior, the meetings in Copenhagen provided a platform to explore the matter in depth.

Frederiksen expressed that the objective of these gatherings was not to finalize decisions, but rather to lay the groundwork for future political actions. She highlighted the importance of the discussions, stating that they serve as preparatory steps towards making informed political decisions. Despite the absence of a final resolution, Frederiksen considered the progress made during the summit to be a positive outcome.
