Baku: A court hearing has been held on the cassation appeal and cassation protest filed against the decision regarding former Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of Ukraine, Konstantin Kucher, who is charged together with Ukrainian millionaire Oleh Krapivin, known in criminal circles as 'Oleg Bakinski,' and arrested in Azerbaijan on hooliganism charges.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a decision was made at the hearing held at the Supreme Court under the chairmanship of Judge Rashad Abdulov. The cassation appeals filed by the parties were not upheld, and it was noted that the state prosecutor withdrew the cassation protest.

Under the verdict of the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, Konstantin Kucher was acquitted of charges under Article 178.4. However, under Article 221.3, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison. The Baku Court of Appeal upheld the verdict, and an Amnesty Act was applied to him, reducing his sentence by six months by a decision of the Garadagh District Court.

Oleh Krapivin was also sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment. Article 70 of the Criminal Code was applied to him, and his sentence was considered conditional with a probation period of 6 months. He was charged under Articles 127.2.3 and 221.3 of the Criminal Code, involving intentional harm and hooliganism.

An amnesty act was applied to Krapivin, and by a decision of the Khatai District Court, he was released from the conditional sentence.
