Baku:In the first nine months of 2026, Azerbaijan received 2 billion cubic meters of associated gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil and gas fields. This delivery, primarily directed to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), marked a 4.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The gas was transported through the Sangachal terminal and the Oil Rocks facility, as detailed in bp's report on its operations in Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the ACG fields delivered an average of 9 million cubic meters of gas per day to SOCAR during the reporting period. The report further mentioned that the remainder of the associated gas produced was re-injected to maintain reservoir pressure.
A portion of the associated gas from ACG is supplied to SOCAR at no cost. The current participation interests in ACG include bp with a 30.37% share as the operator, AzACG (SOCAR) with 35.3%, MOL with 9.57%, INPEX with 9.31%, ExxonMobil with 6.79%, TPAO with 5.73%, and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) holding 2.92%.
