Ankara: A significant phone conversation took place on March 5 between Trkiye's Minister of National Defense, Yasar Guler, and Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. The discussion was initiated by the Turkish side, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ministers addressed the recent attacks executed by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These attacks involved the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iranian territory, targeting the Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure within the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

In addition to discussing the UAV attacks, the defense ministers exchanged detailed views on the relations between Trkiye and Azerbaijan. They also deliberated on the current regional situation and various security issues affecting both nations.
