Delegation from Turkish National Defense University Visits Azerbaijan

Baku: A delegation from the Turkish National Defense University (NDU), led by Vice-Rector Professor Serdar Salman, is visiting Azerbaijan. The visit includes leadership from the NDU’s Land Forces Military Institute and participants of the ‘Headquarters Management Course.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Turkish delegation began their visit by honoring the graves of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the renowned ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva at the Alley of Honor. They also visited the Alley of Martyrs and the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery, where they laid wreaths and flowers in memory.

The delegation later met with Major General Gunduz Abdulov, the Rector of Azerbaijan NDU. During the meeting, Major General Abdulov discussed the successful reforms and innovations in Azerbaijan’s military education system, emphasizing the friendly and fraternal relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He highlighted the positive impact of the Azerbaijani-Turkish military alliance on the development of military education in both nations.

Professor Salman expressed gratitude for the warm reception and underscored the significance of mutual visits for experience exchange. The meeting included discussions on the outcomes of reforms in military education within the Azerbaijan Army, among other topics, with questions from the visitors addressed.

The visit concluded with a briefing on the history, education system, academic process, and scientific activities of the Azerbaijan NDU and its associated educational institutions.
