Delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament arrived in Kyrgyzstan. The British Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The delegation consists of the Chair of the UK’s Foreign Affairs Committee Alicia Kearns and member of the committee Neil Coyle.

During the visit, members of the committee will meet with the Speaker and deputies of the Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, as well as with the officials of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan. Meetings with the diplomatic corps, local civil society and representatives of the creative industries of the republic are planned.

It is noted that Edil Baisalov recently returned from the UK, where he attended the coronation of King Charles III and headed the delegation of Kyrgyzstan at the Education World Forum.

The visit is taking place as part of the committee’s inquiry into the UK’s engagement with Central Asia. Members of the committee will also visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
