Baku: "In recent years, Azerbaijan's relations with African countries have become noticeably closer and more active. We see this not only in official meetings or agreements, but also in people-to-people ties, academic cooperation, and especially in the growing number of African students studying at Azerbaijani universities," Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kanan Karimzada said during his speech at the conference dedicated to Africa Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Deputy Minister Karimzada revealed that more than 360 African students from 40 African countries are currently studying at Azerbaijani universities. He emphasized that interactions with these students reveal that the cooperation extends beyond institutional frameworks, encompassing personal and humanitarian aspects as well.

Furthermore, the Deputy Minister highlighted the internationalization of Azerbaijan's higher education institutions. Alongside programs conducted in Azerbaijani, academic opportunities are also offered in English, French, and Arabic. This multilingual approach aims to make students from diverse cultural backgrounds feel more connected, confident, and active in academic life in Azerbaijan.
