Baku: Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Economy, recently engaged in discussions with Adrienn Kiraly, Director of Neighbourhood East and Trkiye at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighbourhood. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the dialogue revolved around key areas of partnership, with Bashirli pointing out that collaborative efforts in energy, investments, and other sectors between the EU and Azerbaijan play a crucial role in fostering regional development. He emphasized the significant potential for deepening this cooperation further.
The meeting also addressed the EU's 2024 Financing Agreement, the implementation of joint projects, and other mutual interests, indicating a commitment to continued partnership and collaboration between the two entities.
