Baku: Despite measures taken within the framework of international agreements, historical sites are still under threat, Farid Jafarov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said during the panel session titled 'Sustainable and Empowering Cultural Revitalization' held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports. He emphasized the pressing need to preserve Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the deputy minister highlighted that the protection of cultural heritage is not only a cultural issue but also a significant obligation. He stated, "In this regard, the initiatives being implemented carry great responsibility." Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale restoration programs are being executed in the liberated territories. These efforts include the rebuilding of cultural heritage monuments and other infrastructure facilities, contributing to the gradual restoration of life in the region.

He further noted that the restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories are progressing rapidly, reflecting the government's commitment to preserving the nation's cultural legacy.
