Baku: Azerbaijan is an important partner for Slovakia and one of the key bridges connecting Europe with the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Sakov¡ said at the Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in the current geopolitical environment, resilient supply chains, efficient transport corridors, and reliable energy supplies have become strategic priorities. Denisa Sakov¡ emphasized Azerbaijan's evolving role as a reliable energy partner and a key logistics hub connecting regions and markets. The energy sector remains a cornerstone of economic cooperation between Slovakia and Azerbaijan. Slovakia highly values the diversification of natural gas sources and transportation routes, recognizing Azerbaijan's contribution to bolstering regional energy security.
Denisa Sakov¡ highlighted that the collaboration between Slovakia and Azerbaijan extends beyond the energy sector. Slovak companies are actively involved in Azerbaijan's modernization efforts, with significant contributions to the reconstruction of Karabakh. The 'Smart Village' project in Garvand village exemplifies how Slovak technologies and expertise can offer practical solutions to enhance the quality of life. Furthermore, Slovakia identifies promising opportunities for collaboration in infrastructure, digitalization, industrial production, water management, and advanced technologies. Slovakia, known for its strong engineering traditions, highly skilled workforce, and burgeoning innovation potential, is eager to provide high value-added solutions and become a reliable partner in Azerbaijan's future development.
